Thermal Defrost Heaters

Defrost heaters are used for the prevention of ice build up on freezer and evaporator coils.

Defrost heaters

Construction:
Stainless steel sheathed element with brass fin for quick heat dissipation. These elements are made fully water resistant by vulcanising double insulated cable to the end of the element.

Stainless steel sheathed elements are capable of reaching temperatures of 1150°C, however these temperatures are not required for refrigeration applications. This element gives you a longer working life.

Each element must pass a 1500V insulation test and have a megger reading not less than 100MΩ before leaving our plant.

A wide variety of terminations, lead lengths and lead types are available. Leads are capable of operating in temperatures of -40°C to +150°C. Custom designed heating elements are produced for obsolete freezer cabinets, coils and drain pans.

Thermal manufacture the largest range of defrost and drain pan heaters for all of the leading commercial refrigeration manufacturers.

Drain & Condensate Pan Heaters

Drain and condensate pan heaters are used for the prevention of ice build up in drain ways and condensate pans of commercial refrigeration units.

Drain and Condensate pan heaters

Construction:
Stainless steel sheath, low watt density heaters guarantee a longer life span as they are more robust and resistant to corrosion.

A wide variety of terminations and lead lengths are available. Leads are capable of operating in temperatures of -40°C to +150°C.

As with defrost heaters, custom designed elements can be produced for obsolete freezer cabinets, coils and drain pans.

Thermal manufacture the largest range of drain pan heaters for all of the leading commercial refrigeration manufacturers.

Silicone Flexible Drain Heaters

Did you know another quality product from Thermal, the Silicone Flexible Drain Heater, is used extensively in the refrigeration industry to prevent condensate drains from freezing up?

Lengths from 300mm up to 10m and a range of wattages are available. Silicone, being resistant to corrosion, oils, chemicals and acid solutions, makes these heaters suitable for many other applications: anti-condensate heater used in electric motors, control enclosures and switchboards; and oil sump heaters for diesel engines to name a few!

Heated Cables

Heated cables are available for cold room doors and various refrigeration applications. Operating temperatures from 32°C to 149°C, maximum continuous exposure temperature from 85°C to 260°C. Minimum installation temperature of 50°C. The cables are self limiting and self regulating and range from 8 watts per lineal metre to 66 watts per lineal metre.
