Production Manager - Coffs Harbour
This is a Full Time position with the hours being 7am to 5pm, four days a week.
As the Production Manager you will be required to plan, coordinate and review the production activities, with a focus on meeting deadlines, optimising resource use and maintaining quality standards.
As the Production Manager you will be reporting directly to the Managing Director and be responsible for:
- Ensuring production deadlines are met
- Planning and management of production flow, scheduling and allocation of duties
- Management of production staff performance
- Coordination and overseeing of preventative maintenance of production equipment
- Continually seeking improvement of processes and manufacturing programs
- Ensuring effective interoperability with all company departments
- Analysing production data and trouble shooting problems to improve performance
- Contributing input into strategic planning, recruitment and staff development
- Communicating management intent to production staff
To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
- Minimum 3 years experience in a Production Management/Supervisor role within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrate an ability to manage production schedules, set priorities, identify and address problems and stay within budgets
- Experience in engineer shop style production facilities
- Experience in technical and engineering activities
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Technical Sales Estimator - Melbourne & Brisbane
This is a Full Time position with the hours being 7am to 5pm, four days a week.
As a Technical Sales Estimator you will be based out of one of our five locations throughout Australia, including: Coffs Harbour, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
You can expect to be working on the road face to face with clients one day per week with the other days spent fielding customer enquiries and producing quotations and technical designs to meet their requirements.
As we work within a very specialised market Thermal Electric will provide the successful candidates with full product training conducted over four weeks at our Head Office located in Coffs Harbour, NSW.
As a Technical Sales Estimator you will be reporting directly to the Design Manager and be responsible for:
- Producing quotations based on customer requirements
- Identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities
- Building and fostering relationships with clients
- Consulting with clients to identify, clarify and resolve their needs
- Providing technical advice to clients
- Designing heating solutions to meet client requirements
- Producing drawings and materials lists for the manufacture of products
- Producing technical drawings using AutoCAD
- Interstate travel around Australia as required
To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
- Willing to attend four weeks training at our Head Office in Coffs Harbour, NSW
- A mechanical or electrical background or related field
- Experience and proven results in sales
- Be an excellent communicator with highly developed sales and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain and develop customer relationships and business
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD software
- Self-driven and prepared to work autonomously
- Excellent organisation skills
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
- Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite
