Due to our continued expansion, Thermal is currently seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Designer to meet our increasing demands. The successful applicant can expect to work within a diverse team with a strong focus on quality workmanship and teamwork where initiative is encouraged.
This is a Full Time position with the hours being 7am til 5pm, 4 days per week. Thermal Electric Elements prides itself on ensuring an equal balance of work and home life while being a fair and equitable workplace. An extensive in-house training program exists ensuring the successful applicant is provided with all the tools to succeed.
As a Mechanical/Electrical Designer you will be reporting directly to the Design Manager and will be responsible for:
Building relationships with clients
Producing technical drawings in 2D and 3D
Some hands on fabrication may be required
To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
Experience in sheet metal design and manufacture with AutoCAD
Good organisation skills
Good computer skills using Microsoft Office programs
Ability to work as part of a team

Fabrication of electric elements
To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
Good literacy and numeracy skills
Ability to use hand tools and measuring tools
Ability to read engineering drawings (training provided)
Ability to work as part of a team
